Build Project Description

Join us as we continue the plastering stage of our cob sauna. The sauna is a spiral yin-yang design on a dry stack rock foundation. The cob walls are finished, the scratch coat is finished, and we're doing the decoration and sculpture on, then the final plaster and pigment coat. We're also finishing the ceiling, and the cob floor.

Wow looks great.  We are hoping to build something like this in Kentucky!  Is it a wet sauna?

Thanks!  It'll be a Finnish sauna, which means dry/wet. We have a Finnish sauna stove that has rocks on top, and you can fling water on the rocks to create a whoosh of steam, so it's not a wet sauna, and it's not altogether dry either...

Left you a message and checked out the Coppermoon Advance Retreat website. Looks awesome! Especially enjoyed the bird house flair.
